With deep sadness his family announces the passing of Keith Micklash on January 1, 2022, at the age of 81.
Lovingly remembered by his wife Lorraine, daughter Kim and husband Randy, son Manny and wife Leona, grandchildren, Ty, Alla, Tory, Carter, Landon, Cassandra, Drew, Chandra; three great-grandchildren, Emelia, Vera and Adler, and brother-in-law Dick. He was predeceased by his parents, Jessie and stepfather Ben Kowalson, brother Ken and sister Dodie.
Thanks to Dr. Wong and the nurses at CancerCare, St. Boniface Hospital.

God saw you were getting tired,
and a cure was not to be,
so He put His arms around you,
and whispered "Come to Me".
With terrified tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hardworking hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

He will be forever missed by everyone who knew him.

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • We are friends with his son in law Randy. In 2011 we visited Randy and his wife at Keith's house in Phoenix for one afternoon. My wife and I brought our 3 young kids and we had a great time. Keith was a great host and was at the BBQ making food for everyone. He was a fun man! The life of the party! - Posted by: Michael Mark (friend) on: Jan 14, 2022

  • My sincerest condolences Manny and family. So many great memories of Keith and our time in the commercial business. Your father was a tuff negotiator and always kept me on my toes.. he alo taught me a thing or two about the oil business. I'll miss his room full of toaster ovens and tv's LOL and the many laughs we shared at a baseball game or over a great meal. My thoughts and prayers to all of the family John - Posted by: john odonnell (Friend) on: Jan 13, 2022

  • Lorraine, Kim, Manny and families, Larry and I are so sorry for your loss. Keith was a very giving man who lived for his family and to ensure everyone was always comfortable and enjoying themselves. Over the years he always had a joke, smile and concern for others. He selflessly gave to everyone that crossed his paths. Keith was a special man who will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Sandy Redmond (Friend) on: Jan 11, 2022

  • What can be said about long time family friends that gave us such wonderful memories from Grand Marais; swimming at their house(s); the biggest dog in Brutus ever (I still can see a picture of Brutus standing on his hind legs, paws on Dad's shoulders and the dog being taller than Dad); putting bull frogs on Moms plates; stories our parents used to tell about the shenanigans they all got into (crazy funny); just so many memories. Thanks for the memories Mr. Micklash! Have a drink with Mom and Dad. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Sonia Feakes (Nimchuk) (Long time family friend) on: Jan 11, 2022
