EMMA MARGARET BUSHIE
(GAIL, AIME)

September 12, 1942 - January 10, 2022

Just before sunrise Mom began her journey to the spirit world.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her baby sister Lena (Edgar); sons, Allan (Lillian), Vernon (Myrna), Edward (Jen); daughters, Alice (Larry), Connie (Donavan), Elma (Sheldon), Nicole (Cody). Mom had 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Florence Bushie; siblings, Verna, Clara, Wilma, Florence, Ambrose, Adolphus, Rod, John Jr., Wallace, Gordon; and great-great-grandson Ronald.
Mom worked all her formative years as a cook and cleaner in Manitoba and Alberta. She loved to sew and was a self-taught tailor, she could make anything. Mom was so proud when her twin boys and girls were born, she was the laundry lady for the twins and the family. No matter what size you were you can always depend on Mama to clothe the kids when they came to visit. Mom took pride in her home and kept it in immaculate condition and was always looking for the next cleaning job.

Your battle is over now Mom,
you fought a good fight for many
years and it's time to rest now.

The family would like to acknowledge the people who have helped Mom over the past few years: Pine Falls Hospital and Dialysis Unit, George M. Guimond Personal Care Home, Yvonne Barker for being such a good friend, Bernice Bushie for you care and patience, Melissa Christenson for helping Mom make it to family events, Kathleen Boulette for your excellent care and kindness. To Mom's baby girl, Nicole and her granddaughter Tinker, thank you so much for being with Mom as she shed her final tear and took her last breath.
Mom's service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at the Hollow Water Community Hall. COVID protocols will be in place.
