Alyce, Mom, Nan, Nanny

Our Mom lived her past six and half years at Middlechurch Home. Not her choice (never wanting to be told what to do). But the staff were the best and kindest with our Mother. We thank them for all her care and the enjoyment they were able to give her caringly.
Mom's time before that, from age 15 on was spent with her Forever Love, our father, Frederick Fenn (Papa) who died February 2002.
The time between Dad's passing and Middlechurch was Mom's time.
She spent a little time in Winnipeg but mostly she continued to go to her family island - Myrtle Island on Laclu Lake for 12 weeks of the summer. There are too many stories, of her version at the time of telling, from her 92 years at the lake to list.
As a couple, starting in 1982, they made Pine to Palm Resort Park in Weslaco, Texas their little home for five plus months each year. That tradition was kept up by Alyce until 2012. Again too many stories to list.
Prior to 1982, life was a blur with six births bringing joy from 1946 to 1962. Mom has us all in her heart.
Mike (Carole) / Jo-Al Wilde (Glenn) / Tom (Ellen) / Janie Kupskay / Pat (Lori) / Phil (Rhonda ) Mom loves us all including her 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mom and Dad - We carry you Both within Us and we are Never truly Apart
Cremation has taken place (Voyage Funeral Home). Respecting Mom's wishes there will be no formal service.

  • My condolences to all the Fenns. So sad to read about your loss. Thanks for all the great times and fond memories out at Lac Lu. Sleeping on the living room floor with that grandmother clock reminding you had drank too much the night before and waking to the smells of Fred and Alyce cooking up 2 dozen eggs at a time to feed us all; I can smell the bacon. Alyce and Fred were the greatest, opening their piece of heaven up to us riff raff back in the day. I can appreciate that even more now, being there age then. May they rest in peace. - Posted by: Rob A (Past friend) on: Jan 24, 2022
