WALTER BOSKO
December 30, 1930 – January 9, 2022

Dad passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022 at the Betel Care Home in Selkirk, MB.
Dad was predeceased by his wife Grace in which they were married for 57 years, together they had three children, Chad (Marlene), Susan (Lorne) and Lori (Ed) and grandchildren, Megan (Dustin), Cole, Owen and Joey and great-granddaughter Cora Grace.
Dad started work as a bush camp cook where he perfected his pie making skills. Later on Dad landed a job at Canada Packers where he met the love of his life Grace, here is where he would spend the remainder of his working years.
When Dad wasn't at work you could find him in the garden, weeding, tilling or tending his strawberry patch. Summer weekends were spent camping and fishing with family, but Dad's favorite was ice fishing with his brother Clarence and nephew Jim.
When Dad retired in 1988 he enjoyed spending time with his family and doing the things he loved most.
Many thanks to the staff at the Betel Home for the great work they do and making Dad comfortable.
Funeral Services are pending.
Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • To the Bosko Family We send our sincere condolences. We've known Walter and Grace for more than fifty years. They were the most decent, hard-working, kind friends and neighbours. For the past years, we've missed Grace's kindness and thoughtfulness. Now we will miss Walter's strawberries--the sweetest, tastiest berries this side of heaven--and his great stories of growing up and cooking and gardening. We'll always treasure the memories of touring the garden and strawberry patch and listening to the heart warming stories of their family and their adventures. Take care; keep strong -- Pete, Irene and Naomi de Graaf - Posted by: Pete, Irene and Naomi de Graaf (Friends and Neighbours) on: Feb 09, 2022
