• Miss Jones was my junior high English teacher and I still can hear her voice every time a write something, urging me to check my grammar. I can still see her at the blackboard, dressed in the latest fashion, doing a graphic analysis of a sentence. Anne Lavack and i were classmates and over the years have kept in touch, which included reminiscing about our teachers. Miss Jones was always a favorite. • Miss Jones was my English teacher at John W. Gunn Jr. High School in Winnipeg. She had a good sense of humour, even when dealing with a classroom full of rebellious teenagers. Many years later, she was one of my professorial colleagues when I taught at the University of Winnipeg.
