Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to the Cheryl, Lorne and Darryl and family on the loss of your dad. I was so sorry to hear the news from my sister Brenda. I have very fond memories of our families spending a lot of time together as I was growing up. The last time I spoke to Jake was at my own dad's funeral. It was nice to see him and get that last hug. I have been praying for you all. Blessings! - Posted by: Cheryl Scott (Friend) on: Mar 02, 2022

  • Jake and Mary welcomed Hilda and me to Winnipeg and Home street Mennonite Church. We had no family in Manitoba and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. My condolences to Mary and the family. - Posted by: Peter Goertzen (Friend) on: Jan 27, 2022

  • Jake and I started our businesses at roughly the same time back in the late 70's. Over the years we had many conversations and shared many stories and laughs. We formed a unique bond and in my retirement that bond continued. Before his health started to fail I visited him at his office and we were able to share a final hug and express our gratitude to one another. At peace now with the Lord. Bye my friend. - Posted by: Brian Bollman (Business friend.) on: Jan 24, 2022
