CAROLINE (CAROL) DIANNE DAVIS
April 2, 1941- January 16, 2022

Our beloved mother passed away peacefully, with her family by her side.
Her memory is treasured by her children: Dan (Marlene), Rhonda (Wilson), Darrell (Norma), Sylvia (Michael); stepsons: Victor (Liisa) and Paul (Heather); grandchildren: Earl, Scott, Marley, Michael, Stephanie and Steven; step-grandchildren: Jaedan and Rowan; great-grandchildren: Abby, Danielle, Ty, Ryder, Dani, River, and great-great-grandchild Aaliyah. Carol will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Dennis; her sisters: Kathy, Valerie, Patricia, Beverly and all of their families. Caroline was predeceased by husband Herbert Davis, son Rodney Knelsen, sister Lenora Heatherington, brother Ken Loewen and her parents Klaas and Sophie Loewen.
Born and raised in Gretna, Manitoba, Caroline grew up in a large and closely knit family. She took an early interest in cooking following her own mother's lead. She went on to own and run a successful restaurant that often featured her well known tasty specialties. Later in life, well after the sale of the restaurant, Caroline took great pride and pleasure in being the head chef for St. Mary's Academy in Winnipeg as well as being employed in a variety of other positions throughout the years. Carol approached life with grace and humour and was easily loved by all who knew her. Even when faced with adversity she was ready with a smile and a warm hug. Her kindness and loving spirit is the legacy that she has left imprinted on all of our hearts. You will be so dearly missed. We love you.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care and attention provided by the Grace Hospital Emergency Department and the Covid Care Unit.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Caroline's life may be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Caroline's name to a worthy organization of your choice would be gratefully welcomed.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I am deeply saddened by Caroline's passing . We grew up together and I have many wonderful memories. We just recently reconnected after many years. After receiving our vaccine cards we were able to enjoy going out for lunch. I was looking forward to spending more time with your mother. She was fun to be with as you all know. I will miss her very much. - Posted by: Doreen Zygarliski (Friend) on: Jan 20, 2022
