(nee BALA)
Joan passed away peacefully, with her children at her side, at Fred Douglas Lodge on January 22, 2022.
Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Geoffrey (Debbie), Lisa and Gerald; her grandchildren, Nikolas (Megan), Natasha (Zach), Justin, Makayla, and great-grandson Wyatt. She will also be missed by her cousin Audrey, as well as many other family and friends.
Thank you to all staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their care over the years as well as Holly at Seasons Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Diabetes Canada.
A private family service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery. Peacefully on Saturday, January 22, 2022, Joan passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge.
Joan will be sadly missed by her daughter Lisa; sons, Geoff and Gerald, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence.

I have known Joan for a very long time, Since her brother got married, In 1953 or 52. over the many years I have a memory of all the good times. What a fine person that she was, always kind, understanding and considerate. She will be missed. Now that she is with our Lord We have to say goodbye for now, On this, long road. We must go on without her. Lydia and I would like to extend our deep heartfelt sympathy to her daughter, sons, grandchildren and the entire family. May she rest in peace. Vichnaya pamyat.
