MARGARET EVELYN POMRENKE
Margaret Evelyn Pomrenke, age 94, of Winnipeg passed away peacefully on January 25, 2022, at Misericordia Place. We would like to thank all the staff for being there for her.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Emil, of almost 65 years, her mother Amanda, father Fred Felsch, and Wilf. She is survived by her children, Kathy, Marlene, and Mark and her grandchildren, Jasmine, Aiden, and Ethan as well as her daughter-in-law Huyen and sister-in-law Velma.
Margaret was born and raised on a farm on the bald Prairie near Emerson, Manitoba. She would hear the train whistling as it passed by and dream of a world beyond. Her Happy Place has always been in Southern California where she and her family would often live in winters and then she and Emil would visit there later on. Mention must be made of her special friend Dorothy Daw who still lives next to the orange groves.
Mother, friend, and artist, you lived a full life and will be dearly missed.
A memorial will be held at a later date in Fredensthal. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favourite charity.
With all our LOVE.

We (Judy and I) would like to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to Margaret's family on her passing. Margaret loved her family dearly and was very proud of their achievements. Margaret had an engaging, happy personality and positive attitude towards life that combined that with a wonderful sense of humor. Emil and Margaret were always very faithful church members and excellent examples of being devout and practicing Christians. Our after-Church coffee gatherings were so much more fun when we shared a table with Margaret and her Ridgeville group. May you rest in peace in your room in Heaven which our good Lord has been preparing for you! - Posted by: Ronald (Ron) S. Smith (Friends at Epiphany and Joy Lutheran Churches) on: Jan 30, 2022

So very sorry to hear of Margaret’s passing. My deepest condolences to Kathy, Marlene and Mark. Although she was our neighbour for 13 years I lived on the farm, I hold the warmest wonderful lady she was. Over the years I would see her and she was always so interested in what everyone was doing. Please know I am thinking of you! - Posted by: Lori (Schulz) Zaparaniuk (Neighbour) on: Jan 28, 2022

It was my privilege to be Margaret's pastor for a short time. She had a delightful sense of humour, a living faith, and a habit for forgetting her handbag on the back of her chair after church at coffee... We will miss Margaret, but know that God remembers her with the favour he bears for His people. We commend her into the arms of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, a lamb of His own flock, a sinner of His own redeeming. God's blessing to you, her family and friends, as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death. God is with you. - Posted by: Peter Lurvey (Pastor) on: Jan 27, 2022

Our most sincere sympathy to Marg's family. We have not seen her in some time, but some years back we spent a lot of time together. We square danced together every week also, we visited socially. Later, we would see them at the Opera. We always enjoyed her spirit and interest in life. She was such a happy person.
