In her 99th year, Audrey Wilford passed away after a wonderful life.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Brian, Laurie (Diane), Caryl (Ian) and Keith (Myrna), seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Lillian Evans, her husband Stanley Wilford, and six older siblings.
Audrey was a remarkable woman. A few years ago, she was climbing her Moose Lake cottage's roof to clear off leaves, crawling on the floor to light the propane stove, and walking so fast, we all struggled to keep up with her. She was feisty and fierce and funny. We already miss her tremendously.
Thanks to the staff of Home Instead and Golden Links Lodge who cared for Audrey in her final years.
The family will hold a private memorial service. Donations can be made to the St. Vital Historical Society.
