JANINE GAYE GREGORASH
Our dear sister, Janine Gaye Gregorash (nee Price), passed away on January 16, 2022, after a brief illness. Gaye was predeceased by her youngest daughter Kaleigh, parents, Joseph and Mary Price, and her younger brother, Norman Price. Left to mourn her passing is her husband Joey, son Jody (Kelsey), daughter Courtney, and granddaughter Kenzie. Gaye will be greatly missed by her siblings, Jodey (Butch), Narda (Michael), Kathy, Catherine (Billy), Lori (Ron), and Bill. Auntie Gaye-Gaye loved and was loved in return by her many nieces and nephews.
We are thankful to Gaye for her steadfast and constant care of our Mom and Dad in their later years. We are also thankful to her daughter Courtney for the care and companionship she gave to her Mom these last years. Gaye's love and nurturing was most evident when she was with her children or speaking of them. Her most important job was Mom, volunteering at their schools and attending all of their sports events. Gaye was over the moon when her granddaughter Kenzie was born.
Gaye made sure that we never forgot anyone's middle name and gave many of us nicknames, always said with her easy smile. She shared that smile with everyone she met. Gaye made friends everywhere because she truly cared about people. She loved food fights, water fights, and general teasing.... we didn't always enjoy this as much as Gaye.
Gaye fought a difficult battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), undergoing many surgeries and great pain. Obstacles, challenges, and heartache could not erase Gaye's giving nature. A soul gifted to us to show how funny nicknames, a million questions about your life, or favourite baking treats equal love. If you knew Gaye, you were lucky. If you were in the company of Gaye, you knew love. Gaye, you will be missed for the rest of our days. Hugs
Donations can be made in Gaye's name to Arthritis.ca for RA research and support.

For me, Gaye took simple exchanges between a customer and employee and turned it into something more. Most customers wouldn’t care to give you the time of day, but she was always up for a chat. Before Covid she would hug me. During Covid she kept telling me she can’t wait til she can hug me again. She called me lovey, and would say “there’s my boy”. Had I known my last time seeing her was going to be my last, I would have just gave her a hug. Rest in paradise Janine.. my condolences to your family. - Posted by: Dee Murphy (Friend) on: Feb 10, 2022

"There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains". ....BP/Baltimore. Joey and family, my heart is heavy with sadness at the loss of Gaye. She was funny, kind, mischievous and a fabulous hostess. She certainly knew how to throw a party! Always joyful and up for a good prank. I will remember her generous and caring spirit always. My condolences to all of the family. I am so glad that I had the chance to of had a belly laugh conversation with Gay in the fall, when she dropped into my work. We shared stories of our family growing up together on the Air Force base. I will cherish that moment as well as many fond memories. She left a smile on everyones face and yes she approached me that day using my full name as she always did. - Posted by: DEBBIE DEACON (NEE) BENNETT (Family friend) on: Jan 29, 2022

Have so many stories I could share hard to just pick one. We did have some great memories and fun times together. We all have to go through our own journey and Janine always did it with love.never complained even if you knew she was suffering. I will miss her emails and just knowing she was there. Wish we could have seen more of each other that was always the plan but life got in the way. So sorry for your loss. It came as such a shock. My thoughts and prayers are with you all if anything I can do please let me know. Feels like your heart is breaking. Love you guys.
