ALINE CELS
Aline Cels (née Richaud) passed away in Drumheller on January 26, 2022, aged 91.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Louis and Bertha, brother Leon, sisters, Yvonne Dechief and Helen Clark, husbands, Marcel Augey and George Cels, and grandson Eric Augey. She is survived by her brother Louis 'Hoots' Richaud (Eleanor), her children, Chris Augey (Kathy), Kim Augey (Linda), Michelle Mayotte (Stew), Marc Cels (Indre Cuplinskas), their families, including eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews who knew her as 'Aunt Lili.'
Aline grew up in the village of Forget, SK. She married the boy next door, Marcel, and they raised their family in Stoughton until his premature death. Aline and her second husband, George, moved on to Colorado, Red Deer, Kelowna, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Thompson, MB, before retiring happily to Drumheller. Wherever Aline went, she found community and made a welcoming home for her family and for friends, old and new. Aline's faith in God's grace showed in her gratitude, loyalty, unconditional love, and the ability to leave troubles behind and make the best of each day.
The family is grateful for the care Aline received from the staff at the Sunshine Lodge, her physicians, and her extended care nurses at Hanna and Drumheller. Please remember Aline and her family in your prayers, and enjoy an extra sliver of pie, or two, in her memory.

Our condolences from the daughters of Hermas and Evelyn Richaud formerly from DeerHorn MB. Bonnie, Wendy & Debbie and spouses. My Dad was a first cousin to Aline. Despite growing up somewhat distant from "the other Richaud family" we have fond memories of Uncle Louis and Auntie Bertha and their families when we/they could share a visit. I can remember, as a child, what a wonderful occasion my Grandparents' 50th anniversary celebration was when both branches of the family gathered at my parents' farm in DeerHorn and on our occasional visits to Forget and Stoughton. Our sympathies to all of you during this difficult time. - Posted by: Ken & Wendy Sweetland (cousins from DeerHorn, MB) on: Feb 08, 2022

Maurice and I have wonderful memories of our Thompson days singing with Aline & George in the choir at St Lawrence Parish. Aline was a joyous, warm & spiritual person, very supportive to George in his role as choir director. We enjoyed being a part of this vibrant group, and also very much appreciated Aline’s hospitality in their home. - Posted by: Verna Stecy (Church friend) on: Jan 29, 2022
