LOUIS L. FONTAINE
October 2, 1939 - January 17, 2022
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved father, Louis Fontaine on January 17, 2022 at the age of 82, in Winnipeg, MB.
Louis will be lovingly remembered by his children, Bridget (Randolph), Dean (Kerry) and Renee. He will also be missed by brother Noel (Gilberte); as well as numerous family and friends. Louis was predeceased by wife Jo-Ann; parents, Hector and Marie-Louise; as well as sisters, Cecile, Marie-Ange, Therese, Florence and Agathe; brothers, Andre, Leon, Gerard and Donat (Alice).
Dad was born October 2, 1939 in Ste. Agathe. He worked as a heavy duty diesel mechanic in Manitoba, BC and on the DEW Line. He was a very hard worker, who put in long days most of his life to provide for his family. Dad loved car racing, motorcycles, RVing, the outdoors and travelling with his children to Mexico and Cuba. He will always be remembered as a person who knew how to live life to the fullest. Dad had absolutely no fear. He never turned down adventure and was always up for anything. Our father helped his children in so many ways throughout his life. His memory will forever be carried in our hearts.
Burial has already taken place at The St. Boniface Cemetery.

To the family of Louis Fontaine. My most sincere apologies for the loss of your dad and father in law. Friend, grandpa. My father knew Louis from the heavy duty diesel trade. They were good friends along with Tom Arkison he will be missed by Tom. My dad will see him up there as he passed 2005 of sept. Your dad was a real good honest man. Told it how it was and never backed down from a good time or any other matters of concern for him. He treasures the trips to Cuba with his grown children. He was always spoiled by them he would smile. He was very proud of his family. He loved all of you very much. I once again offer you peace of mind that he is in the arms of Jesus and that he will have a full agenda in heaven. Take Care Best wishes for yourselves other family and all friends.
