Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySINCLAIR, Jeanne. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dr. Jeanne Marie Sinclair (nee Gagnon) on January 26, 2022. Jeanne
Sinclair was born November 23, 1958. The middle of seven children she was raised on the family farm at Rocan-ville, Saskatchewan. The outdoors and farm animals and family visits with numerous cousins were highlights of her childhood. She attended school in Rocanville and excelled in her studies. Jeanne went to the University of Saskatchewan graduating with a degree in Agriculture and then later Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from vet college, she started work as a veterinarian in Minnedosa. While in Minnedosa she met and married Samuel Charles Sinclair in 1994. Together on the
Sinclair family farm they raised two sons, Ian Maxwell and Gordon Roger and shared the trials and joys of raising children, crops and various dogs and cats. Jeanne worked at the Shoal Lake Vet Clinic until the physical challenges of large animal medicine began to take a toll on her health. With a heavy heart Jeanne left private practice to begin a career with CFIA as a Government Veterinary Inspector, first at Maple Leaf Foods in Brandon and then part time at HyLife Foods in Neepawa. Jeanne always enjoyed meeting and helping clients. Family members had Jeanne on speed dial for all their veterinary needs. Jeanne enjoyed quad rides with the dogs and treasure hunting at garage sales and on-line. She also helped to farm and drove the combine in her spare time. Her greatest relaxation was gardening, always bringing bags of her produce to anyone who needed. Her strawberry pies and pickled beans were favorites of family and neighbors. Jeanne read voraciously, mostly mysteries and intrigue and she and Sam loved Janet Evanovich's
Stephanie Plum novels and would often laugh themselves to tears sharing them. Jeanne and Sam enjoyed their trips with Co-op Hail Insurance and their trips to Mexico and Florida with the boys. Also, they enjoyed a cruise in Puerto Rico. Jeanne was predeceased by her parents Roger and Stella Gagnon, brother Dennis, parents-in-law Gordon and Donalda Sinclair and brother-in-law Allan Drysdale. She is survived and mourned by husband Sam, sons Ian and Gordon, her dog Brutus, her cats Marshall and Lily, sisters Helen, Anna (Henry), Louise (Nelson), Michelle (Bill), brother Raymond (Barb), sister-in-law Norma, brother-in-law John and many nieces and nephews. Whenever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories. Her kind and loving heart will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, your local Humane Society or a charity of your choice. Due to Provincial Public Health Orders, a private funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Rae's Funeral Chapel, Shoal Lake.
