Date of Passing: Jan 31, 2022Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
PRYKE: Donald Irvin. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Don at Rideau Park Personal Care Home with family by his side on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Don was a Journeyman Electrician and operated his own business, Don's Electric, in Souris before joining Manitoba Hydro for 32 years; first as Electrical Inspector and later as Customer Service Supervisor. After his retirement from Manitoba Hydro, Don supervised the electrical installation of a huge complex in Shilo for Defense Construction. Don treasured the time spent with his wife, their son and his family, who he loved dearly and had many happy memories of the years when they camped in their travel trailer with the grandchildren and his precious little dog Mitzi. Don and Gail enjoyed traveling with family and friends many times to the US, including trips to Texas, Norsk Hostfest in Minot, Branson, Disneyland, Disney World, and Hawaii, as well as trips to Jamaica, and on cruises to the Caribbean. Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Gail; son Jim, daughter-in-law Alanna and grandchildren Heather, John, and Maddy; along with other relatives and friends. A private interment will take place at Rosewood Cemetery.
