GERALD OBERBUCHNER

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gerald Oberbuchner on January 21, 2022, at the age of 63 years. Gerald passed away peacefully at home.
For the past 33 years he was the beloved husband of Jacqueline. In addition to Jacqueline and Mickey the bird, he leaves to mourn his brother Fred, sister-in-law Ann; nephews, Jakob and Simon; his mother-in-law Emmy, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Gerald's greatest passion was wildlife. He devoted much of his energy to supporting an organization that cares for and rehabilitates injured wild animals - the Wildlife Haven. He was a volunteer at the Wildlife Haven for 21 years in the education and public outreach program. Gerald loved nothing more than talking to people with an owl on his arm.
In memory of Gerald, donations can be made to Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre (www.wildlifehaven.ca).

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I remember Gerald very well when I was in my early 20’s working along side him at Hewlett-Packard. He was such a kind, jovial, all-around nice guy who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He and another co-worker even helped me move once on an extremely hot day in August. I remember Gerald and his future wife were members of a German folk dancing group and they looked so cute together! So happy to see that they got married!!! My sincere condolences to you Jacqueline and your family. God bless you both! - Posted by: Karen (Hauff) Loney-Unger (Co-worker) on: Feb 08, 2022
