GEORGE LEO CULLETON

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of George Culleton on January 20, 2022, of a heart attack while during his evening chores at age 77.
George is survived by his beloved wife Lydia, of 56 years; his four sons, Darryl, Roger (Sabina), Jerry (Susan) and Shawn; grandchildren, Emily (Matt), Camara and Wyatt; brothers, Joyal (Betty), Dick (Darlene), Stuart (Elaine) and Glenn; sisters, May and Shirlee (Richard).
Predeceased by his parents: George and Eva; brothers, Raymond in infancy and recently his younger brother Raymond.
George was very social, had the gift of gab, a true salesman, kind, generous and handsome, always willing to lend a hand. George grew up on the family farm at Whitemouth Lake, MB. In his early 20s he married Lydia and moved to St. Andrews, MB to start their family together. George was an active community member and volunteer in St. Andrews often coaching baseball, soccer and starting the local chapter of Boy Scouts of Canada.
George was an entrepreneur and a man on a mission, operating at least two companies at a time and often three, from welding supplies, messenger courier, liquid lawn fertilizer and real estate investment properties. Once the boys left on their own, George had the opportunity to semi retire at age 53 and, together with Lydia, built their dream farm moving back to Piney, MB where he ran his cow/calf operation for 24 years, doing what he loved spending his time farming, hunting, bragging about his grandchildren (and maybe a wee bit of casino hopping) in the U.S .
George was laid to rest in a private family burial in Vassar cemetery
