KENNETH JOSEPH GROUETTE SR.
August 29, 1948 - January 28, 2022
Ken was a man who was loved and admired by his family and his many friends.
He was the husband of 54 years to Marie; the father to Rachelle and Blair, Renee and Darren and Ken Jr. and Jamie; the Poppa to Brenna and Louis, Brady and Brittany, Shea, Zach, Rhys, Kyan, Luke, Cole and Ty; and special brother to Joan. Coming from a very large family, Ken had many connections with brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.
Ken had a difficult life growing up. These trials made him into a man who worked tirelessly to improve his life. With that hard won success he would use his resources to better the lives of his family and anyone who needed help. Ken believed in tangible generosity, providing the necessities of life to those in need.
Ken also believed in the importance of family. He passed this value to his children and grandchildren, always encouraging all to be kind and supportive of one another because "Without family you have nothing". He will always be remembered by his family for his unfaltering support and his daily phone calls to his children will be sadly missed.
We love you Ken, Dad and Poppa.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ken's honour to the Canadian Cancer Society or Riverview Hospital.
Due to concerns regarding the pandemic there will be no funeral service.

I was so sorry to see Ken’s notice. Ken and my father Rey worked together at National Records and I have many fond memories if my visits there when I was a child. Ken looked out for us and was fun to be around. My dad passed just two days after Ken did. Condolences to your family from ours. - Posted by: Karen Lauze (Friend) on: Feb 11, 2022

To Marie and Family, Your friendship with my brother Gary and his family, had us cross many, many paths over the years. From the time I was very young I remember the times you would get together with them and I would be hanging around. The times you enjoyed together on Vista were fond memories. Gary had been keeping my family up to date over time as Ken's health issues became apparent. We were all so sorry to hear of your loss. May the fondest of memories of happy times spent together as a family carry you all through this difficult time. Cancer is so limited... It cannot cripple love. It cannot shatter hope. It cannot corrode faith. It cannot eat away peace. It cannot destroy confidence. It cannot kill friendship. It cannot shut out memories. It cannot silence courage. It cannot reduce eternal life. It cannot quench the Spirit. Author: Dr. Robert L. Lynn - Posted by: Linda Rock (Family friend) on: Feb 06, 2022

My sincere condolences to the Grouette family. I enjoyed the times spent with Ken. Shared stories about his love of cars, music and always had something funny or a story for me whenever we were together, be it for work or lunches. I can say that our lives were richer from knowing him. Rest in peace and the Grouette family is in our thoughts. - Posted by: Mike Ashe (Friend) on: Feb 05, 2022
