HENRIETTE YVONNE LAMOUREUX
(nee PICARD)
Henriette Lamoureux passed away January 26, 2022, at Foyer Valade with her two youngest children at her side.
Henriette was predeceased by her beloved husband Omer in 2001, after 53 years of marriage. She is survived by their children: Ron (Marilyn), Maurice, Marc (Lorraine), Gisele (John Hanly), Gilles, Jean-Louis (Alayna), Alfred, Pauline (Kim Monastersky) and Charles; her grandchildren: Lise (Jean-Guy Mercier), Leanna (John Pitolay), Ben (Sarah) and Isabelle, Anique (Kris Clark) and Arielle, Trey and Meya; her great-grandchildren: Tanner, Carson, Kerrington, Rhys, Alexander and Anastasia. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Jeannette Bergeron and Denise (Rene) Mollot and her sister-in-law, Hortense Lamoureux.
Henriette was born in 1925 and grew up in Saint-Eustache. Upon her marriage to Omer she lived in Transcona and eventually in the Norwood Flats where she spent the remaining years of her life. She lived at Place Eugenie where she made many lasting friendships.
The past five months she had been a resident at Actionmarguerite St. Vital and was blessed with many visits from family and friends, despite pandemic restrictions.
As a mother, friend, and confidante, Henriette spent the better part of her life caring for her husband and her nine children. She loved regaling family and friends with engaging stories of her childhood on the farm in St. Eustache, stories of laughter, of the smell and taste of her mother's meals, and going back and forth to school in the winter on a horse-drawn sleigh.
Although inherently shy, Henriette made friends easily, but her best friends were her sisters with whom she spoke with almost every day in the last few years.
Family will remember her wonderful meals, camping at Winnipeg Beach, driving out West in a camper trailer, or just relaxing on the beach at St. Malo or at the cottage at Albert Beach.
Mother, grandmother, and friend, you lived a full life and will be dearly missed.
Due to the pandemic, a service will be held by invitation only on February 12, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. with livestreaming at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83014035141?pwd=RzlpZnRWb1NsYXhUTHFjUDh4VFZvQT09

I have many beautiful memories of happy days spent with aunt Henriette and uncle Omer at the family home on Kearn Drive. There was always lots of laughter, good food and of course, music. Condolences dear cousins as we all celebrate the full life of a wonderful human being. Let the heavenly dance begin! - Posted by: Lorraine Walton (Lamoureux) (Niece) on: Feb 05, 2022
