ANITA LEA MONDOR

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anita, on February 3, 2022, at the age of 80, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's.
She leaves behind her daughters, Monique Vandale, Gisele (Troy) Ash, Colette (Rolly) Grenier; grandsons, Ryan (Lisanne) Desmarais, Patrick (Ellie) Desmarais, and Jeremie (Ingrid) Desmarais; and two new great-grandbabies, Nicolas and Charlee. She is also survived by her sister Doris Hogue, and many nieces, nephews and many friends. Anita is predeceased by her parents, Phillipe and Mathilde (d'Auteuil) Mondor, sisters, Alice and Adeline, and brothers, Leon and Edouard (Ed).
Mom worked in administrative support rolls over the years in the provincial government, the federal government, and in retirement with the Missionary Oblate Sisters in St. Boniface; but her favourite job, before retirement, was when she was as an early childhood educator and day care director. She always felt a deep pleasure working with the children and supporting the families of the children.
Cremation has taken place, and because of COVID, a graveside service and interment will be held at later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada at parkinson.ca
A special thank you is extended to staff at Actionmarguerite, St. Vital at 450 River Road for her fabulous care in her final years.
