EVELYN (EVIE) WAWRYSHYN LITWIN MOROZ
November 11, 1924 - February 3, 2022

At 97 years young, our dear mom left to join loved ones that have gone before her.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Linda (Derek), Greg (Teresa), Dawn (Tony), Sheryl (Bryan), Penny, Tammy (Larry). She leaves her cherished grandchildren, Shane (Lorrie), Kyle (Tiffany), Jarret (Tanya), Tabatha, (Brent), Tiffany (Marc), Breanna (Michal), Delaine (Aaron), Trevor (Kristina), Natasha, Dylan and Jenna, and her great grandchildren, Chantel, Jaedyn, Abigail, Gray, Griffin, Kayla and Devan.
Mom was born in Tyndall, Manitoba. She excelled in all sports, particularly hockey and baseball. Mom attended normal school to become a teacher and while teaching in Flin Flon, was scouted by the All American Girls Baseball League and played from 1946 to 1951. Mom was a league all star and was ranked 13th all time in batting average in the league. Inductions include: Cooperstown, Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame, Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame and the Ukrainian Sports Hall of Fame.
Mom loved music and always had a song in her heart. She had the unique ability to make each person she met feel special, loved and listened to. Mom's strength of character came from her deep devotion to God and she lived her life as a testament to her faith. Mom's vibrant personality and love of adventure lasted throughout her life. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Duerksen for his wonderful care as well as the compassionate nurses who visited Mom each morning.
A private family funeral will be held on Thursday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. Live streaming of the service can be found at:
