HOULE, Dustin It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dustin Lee Houle (Dusty), 41, of Sandy Bay First Nation, Manitoba. Dusty passed away on January 26th, 2022, surrounded by family. Dusty was born to Laura Mousseau and Roger Whitford on December 15th, 1980 in Portage La Prairie. He was raised in Sandy Bay First Nation.
Dusty was a kind and gentle man with a heart of gold. He loved fishing, cooking, and riding bikes. He had a knack for repairing anything mechanical, taking it apart and putting it right back together. Dusty was a loving partner to Crystal Malcolm, who survives him. Dusty also leaves to mourn his children; Evan, Whitney and Sebastian (Savannah); his parents Laura and Roger; his step-father Jim; his siblings
Lacy, Georgia (Allen), Mederise, Jamie (Brooke), Gerald (Marilyn) Roger Jr., Janie and Kayla; his grandchildren Grayson and Jaidyce; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties and uncles. Dusty was a family man that always made everyone feel welcome in his life, whether it was offering to help someone, offering advice or just being a support to a loved one. Dusty easily made an impact on anyone who met him. He will always be remembered for his smile that could light up a room and for his contagious laugh. A Wake was held at the home of Laura Mousseau on Thursday and the Amaranth Hall on Friday. A service by Clarkes Funeral Home and feast at the Amaranth hall will be Saturday at 2pm, with burial at the Sandy Bay Cemetery.
