MARY CERIDWEN CANSFIELD
(nee JONES)
1926 - 2022

Mary passed away peacefully at the Riverview Palliative Care Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 1, 2022.
Beloved wife of Dr. Peter Evens Cansfield (predeceased). Loving Mother to Roger, Elspeth (Ken - predeceased), Sian (predeceased) and Ruth.
Mary was predeceased by her six siblings, John, Elizabeth (Betty), Campbell, Margaret (Peggy), Edwin (Eddy) and Gwendolyn (Gwen). Mary will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by an extended family of nephews, nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces.
Mary was born and raised in Llanllechid, North Wales. During the Second World War Mary trained as a nurse and received her RN designation at the London Royal Free Hospital, where she worked during the Second World War. After the war, Mary married her husband Peter and devoted her life to supporting her husband and raising their four children. Following her husband's career path, the family moved from the UK to Amherst Massachusetts, USA and then subsequently in 1968 to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mary always made a happy and loving home for the family wherever they were.
A family graveside service and interment will be held sometime in the spring at the Headingley Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery.
