BILL PROKOPCHUK
September 25, 1935 - January 31, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bill on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 86 years.
He is survived by his children, Dan (Lori), Rick (Wanda), Sandy (Nick), Blaine (Kelly); grandchildren, Kayla, Jordan, Eric (Aleah), Tyler (Christine), Breanne (Vince); great-grandchildren, Bowdin, Harlyn, Ben, Nora; brother Walter (Shirley); sisters, Jean (Walter), Olga (Lloyd); many nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends. He was predeceased by his wife Anne, brother Roman and sister Lily.
Bill was born September 25, 1935, in Sandy Lake, MB. He was one of six children and learned at a very early age, the joy of family and community.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who was very proud of his family. He led an honest life with great integrity. He was genuine, humble, funny, believed in hard work, and earned the respect of everyone who knew him.
He had this wonderful ability to make everyone he met feel better. He would make them laugh or smile with his quick wit or a dad joke, or just listen without judgement. After talking to him you would always feel more positive and genuinely happier.
He was in his element during family and friend get togethers. He treated everyone with kindness and always made them feel welcome.
He will be missed, but his strength and the values he instilled, live on to guide his family.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Bill's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held surrounded by his loving family.

So sorry to hear about Bills passing. Always loved seeing him at Kildonan Place when he came by Arby’s to grab a coffee or a bite. My dad Mike and Bill would often sit in food court and talk and talk and talk. Anne and my mom Jean worked together for years at Woolco so my guess is they are working together at Woolco in heaven, while the guys are sitting in food court chatting. Thank you Bill for always making my days brighter. May you Rest In Peace. To Sandy, and the entire family, our deepest sympathy. Lots of love Kim and Grant. - Posted by: Grant Tymchuk (Friend ) on: Feb 12, 2022

Our sympathies to Sandy and Nick, Tyler, Breanne and families. We remember your dad from seeing him at Tyler's hockey games, but had a chance meeting with him in later years and we were able to chat with him for a few moments. Your description of how he would make you feel happier and more positive was exactly true for how he made us feel. With a 10 minute chat he was able to do this for strangers, we can only imagine how wonderful it was to have him as an influence in your everyday life. We are sorry for your loss but are sure all your great memories will keep him close to you always. Jim and Eileen Goertz - Posted by: Eileen Goertz (Friends) on: Feb 12, 2022
