FERNAND ST. HILAIRE
November 4, 1936 - February 2, 2022

Peacefully, at the age of 85, Fernand passed away at Actionmarguerite Saint-Vital. He loved and was loved by his wife of 52 years, Gracia + (née Robidoux) whom he missed dearly.
Today, we mourn the passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He leaves his children: Diane (René Carrière), Norman (Jeannette Bourrier), Marcelle (Marc Saucier), Paulette (Ron Brown), Carolle (Derek Chubey), and Michel (Marc Roch), and his grandchildren: Kevin, Daniel, Shanelle, Sasha, Matthew, Joshua, Cole, Sara, Nicollette and André (Céline) and one great-grandchild, Mia.
Fernand was predeceased by his parents, Edouard and Marie-Ange (Verrier), his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis Robidoux and Augustine (Dumont), his sister Céline and brother-in-law Gaston Brémault, and his brother, Roméo. He leaves to mourn Roméo's wife Simonne (Saindon), his brothers and their spouses, Antoine and Jeannette (Saindon), Raynald and Estelle (Lambert), and family friend, Simone St. Hilaire. He is also remembered by his in-laws: Louise (Laurent Lebleu +), Laurent (Huguette Catellier), Roger + (Denise Ritchot), Hélène (Aurèle Lemoine +), Jacqueline (Christian Dotremont), Marcel (Gisèle Carrière), and Pierre +. His many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends share with us the pain of his loss.
We express, on behalf of Fernand, our thanks to his Actionmarguerite family. They too knew him well and we will always remember their many expressions of care and compassion.
His life was marked by a spirit of willingness and optimism to meet both life's joys and struggles, often infused with humour. Both he and Gracia were passionate about sharing their musical talents with family and friends. With Gracia by his side, faith has us believe that they can now both look upon and see with joy their loving family.
Given the current circumstances, the family will pay tribute to Fernand privately with Father Kevin Bettens officiating the Celebration of Life on February 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7750. Those who do attend will need to show proof of vaccine with photo ID.

Paisiblement, à l'âge de 85 ans, Fernand est décédé à Actionmarguerite Saint-Vital. Il aimait et avait été aimé par son épouse de 52 ans, Gracia + (Robidoux) qui lui manquait beaucoup.
Aujourd'hui, nous sommes attristé par la mort de notre père, grand-père, arrière-grand-père, frère et ami. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Diane (René Carrière), Norman (Jeannette Bourrier), Marcelle (Marc Saucier), Paulette (Ron Brown), Carolle (Derek Chubey) et Michel (Marc Roch), ainsi que ses petits-enfants: Kevin, Daniel, Shanelle, Sasha, Matthew, Joshua, Cole, Sara, Nicollette et André (Céline) et une arrière-petite fille, Mia.
Il est allé rejoindre ses parents Edouard et Marie-Ange (Verrier), son beau-père et sa belle-mère, Louis Robidoux et Augustine (Dumont), sa soeur Céline et son beau-frère Gaston Brémault ainsi que son frère Roméo. Il laisse dans le deuil l'épouse de Roméo, Simonne (Saindon), ses frères et leurs épouses, Antoine et Jeannette (Saindon), Raynald et Estelle (Lambert), ainsi qu'une amie de la famille, Simone St-Hilaire. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs : Louise (Laurent Lebleu +), Laurent (Huguette Catellier), Roger + (Denise Ritchot), Hélène (Aurèle Lemoine +), Jacqueline (Christian Dotremont), Marcel (Gisèle Carrière), et Pierre +. Ses nombreux cousins, cousines, neveux, nièces et amis partagent avec nous la peine de son départ.
Nos remerciements sont offerts à sa famille d'Actionmarguerite. Eux aussi le connaissaient bien et nous nous souviendrons toujours de leurs nombreuses marques d'attention et de compassion.
Sa vie a été marquée par un esprit de volonté et d'optimisme face aux joies et aux difficultés de la vie, souvent empreint d'humour. Gracia et lui étaient passionnés par le partage de leurs talents musicaux avec leur famille et leurs amis. Avec Gracia à ses côtés, la foi nous fait croire qu'ils peuvent maintenant tous deux regarder et voir avec joie leur famille aimante.
Compte tenu des circonstances actuelles, la famille rendra hommage à Fernand en privé. Le Père Kevin Bettens officiera la célébration de sa vie. Maison funéraire Glen Lawn 204-982-7750.
