ARTHUR CHESTER JOSEPH LINK
Arthur Link, age 66, passed away on February 10, 2022 at Seven Oaks Hospital.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Brenda (Luce); sisters, Rebekah Gluth, Suesan Walton and Esther Ferreira; extended family and close friends.
He was predeceased by parents, Arthur L. Link and Marie Link (Deschesne); sisters, Lena (3 months old) and Marie Fraser; brothers, Andrew and Joe.
Art was born in Powassan, ON, November 5, 1955. He grew up in London, ON, eldest of eight children. He hitchhiked west in 1976, stopped in Winnipeg and met Brenda at a rock concert. In 1980, Art returned to Winnipeg and they were together then on, marrying in 2010. His passion was playing guitar with friends or listening to many music genres. He loved aviation, astronomy and sci-fi and was proud of achieving his welding tickets. Art suffered a stroke in 2008 and soon after was diagnosed with the genetic disease, Huntington's.
Special thanks to his home care "heroes", case coordinator and everyone at the Movement Disorder Clinic - Deer Lodge Centre who assisted and supported us during his journey with HD.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
