Robert was born in St. Laurent, MB on May 19, 1940. He grew up there where he met his lovely wife and they married in 1960. Robert worked hard farming and fishing and raising his family.
Over the years Robert did a lot of different things. One of the things he did was his time with the MMF. Robert was a Metis Nation Leader, a Vice President and on the Board of Directors. No matter what he did he was dedicated and passionate.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I am so very sorry for the loss of your husband/father/grandfather. I know the terrible sadness in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you. - Posted by: Caron Gaudry (Niece ) on: Feb 24, 2022

  • Robert, you were loved by many and you will be sorely missed. We just wanted to express our sorrow & sympathy to Rolande and all of your family. All of our memories are filled with joy & laughter, drawn from Robert’s teasing ways and the enjoyment he always displayed in living life to the fullest! His love of music, especially that of his grandkids, was our common interest…along with our friendships with all of his children, Jackie & Dean, in particular! Our thoughts & prayers are with all of you! Thank you, Gaudry family for letting us in to share some of your earthly moments! Leaving you with a poem, written by Anthony Dowson, that just reminded us a bit of Robert… REMEMBER ME Speak of me as you have always done. Remember the good times, laughter, and fun. Share the happy memories we've made. Do not let them wither or fade. I'll be with you in the summer's sun And when the winter's chill has come. I'll be the voice that whispers in the breeze. I'm peaceful now, put your mind at ease. I've rested my eyes and gone to sleep, But memories we've shared are yours to keep. Sometimes our final days may be a test, But remember me when I was at my best. Although things may not be the same, Don't be afraid to use my name. Let your sorrow last for just a while. Comfort each other and try to smile. I've lived a life filled with joy and fun. Live on now, make me proud of what you'll become. Farewell, Robert! - Posted by: Lana & Darryl (family) (Friends) on: Feb 23, 2022
