EVA MARIE LAVOIE
Eva Marie Lavoie (nee Tougas) was lifted to Heaven on the wings of angels, Friday, February 18, 2022. She is now in the arms of her husband and "Bestest Friend" Louis, and reunited with her parents, Josephat and Therese Tougas, brothers, Emmanuel, Alphonse, Andrew, and Emile.
Daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother and Nanny, Eva was loved always and will be greatly missed. Her children, Sheryl (Sheldon), Lisa (Mike), Nichole (Sheldon); grandchildren, Samantha (Michael), Brittany (Mathew), Jessie, Sarah, Eric, and great-grandchild Axel find comfort in the many precious memories of their time spent with her. Mourning with us are numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family who will also deeply miss her phone calls and visits.
Eva enjoyed nothing more than to be surrounded by others and loved to get a party started! Whether it was four people or forty, laughter and music were at the heart of any gathering which brought her great joy.
We take great comfort in knowing she is in Heaven.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Eva started out as my supervisor, but her role in my life quickly evolved into a that of a mentor, mother figure, and friend. She and Louis were such great souls! We are all very blessed to have them both in our lives. Lisa, Cheryl and Nicole, I send all our deepest sympathies on the loss of your Mom. Cherish her memory! - Posted by: Jerrie (Friends) on: Feb 25, 2022

Eva was our neighbor when we lived in Transcona. Eva and Louis soon became very close friends to us, almost like parent figures. Eva was always very sweet with our children and always ready with a pot of coffee, beautiful smile and welcome home. Her quiet but strong demeanor was one thing I always admired about her. She was always ready to lend an ear and sometimes a few words of advice, We spent a lot of time and shared many laughs with her and Louis until we moved to Alberta. My husband Tim and I have many great memories with them. Eva will be greatly missed. Our condolences go out to all of you. - Posted by: Sigrid Thorsteinson (Friend/neighbour) on: Feb 24, 2022

Our deepest condolences to the family on the passing of an angel, Eva. We have many memories with Eva and Louis and her family. As neighbors and friends, we shared many pots of coffee as we laughed at jokes and spent countless hours together. Eva always welcomed everyone to her home, and our family gained wisdom from her knowledge of life. God has his angel back. Our heartfelt sympathy to the entire family! Rest In Peace Eva until we meet again… Love Gene and a Barb & Family - Posted by: Gene and Barbara Giesbrecht (Family friends ) on: Feb 24, 2022
