DONALD (DON) DESAUTELS

It is with great sadness and much love that we mourn the unexpected passing of Donald (Don) Desautels on February 12, 2022, at the age of 35 years.
Don will be deeply missed by his two small children, Olivia (8) and Casey (3), his parents, Roger Desautels (Sandy) and Bea Duplak (Greg), grandfather Ed Desautels, his siblings, Jacques (Carley), Jolyne (Travis) and Janelle (Andrew), as well as his nephews, Sam and Theo, and niece Phoenix. Also left to mourn are Olivia's mother Ali, Casey's mother Lee, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Don was predeceased by his grandparents, Lucy Desautels, Alphonse and Yvonne Philion.
Don, lovingly known as Donny by his many friends, was larger than life. He had an uncanny ability to connect with people of all kinds and make those around him feel so special and loved. He will always be remembered for his big personality, his generous soul, and his unwavering love for his children. He loved nothing more than being a dad and Olivia and Casey were his pride and joy.
With our son's sudden passing, it has left our hearts with an open wound. He has left two treasures behind, his children, who he loved to the moon and back (and they him!). Memère and Pepère will pour all that love for Don into those little angels. He loved them without measure, and they will continue to feel and know his love by us all.
While no funeral service is currently scheduled, a Celebration of Life ceremony will be announced at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family which will go towards education savings for Don's children.

Oh take your time don't live too fast
Troubles will come and they will pass
Go find a woman yeah and you'll be loved And don't forget son
there is someone up above

  • To the Desuatel family, Today marks a year we all learned of Donald’s passing. We want you all to know that today with heavy hearts our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Through his passing we had the opportunity to meet Donald’s Father, Roger, and several other close family members. And despite all the sadness and pain you all were going through, we were able to witness an incredible amount of love you all had for Donald and for each other. Again, please know that me and Jeanne are thinking about all of you today, and pray that our Heavenly Father in Christ Jesus will comfort you with His love and mercy today and always. Our loving thoughts to all of you, Frank & Jeanne Torres - Posted by: Frank & Jeanne Torres (Friends of family) on: Feb 12, 2023
