MARGARETE DORBER
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Margarete (Gretel) Dorber on February 19, 2022.
Margarete was born on June 3, 1930 in Dubrowka, Ukraine. Margarete will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Liese; her grandsons, Justin and Steven, who she loved so dearly; her brother Kuno (Magda); other family in Canada and Germany and friends.
Margarete was predeceased by her husband Richard; parents, Adeline and Ernest; brothers, Hugo and Theo; sisters, Maria and Lola; her dearest Aunt Toni; and newborn grandson Collin.
Gretel loved her family, animals, music, her home and yard, in which she nurtured flowers and vegetable gardens, travel and especially visiting with family and friends and neighbours.
In lieu of flowers, donations to honour Margarete's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3
Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Bardal Funeral Chapel, 843 Sherbrook St. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery.
