MARGARET (MARNIE) JOAN CRUMB
(nee BIRD)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marnie on February 3, 2022 at the age of 71.
Marnie's greatest happiness was her family. She leaves to mourn her sons, Jeff (Dana Williams) and Jedd, sister Elizabeth (Betsy) Keddie, brother Frank (Shirley) Bird, sister-in-law Pam Gagnon (Maurice) along with grandchildren: Evan, Ella, Everett, Eden and Nathaniel as well as multiple nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, William (Dave) Crumb and parents, John Francis (Frank) and Margaret (Peggy) Bird.
Marnie grew up in Wildwood Park, eventually moving to Waverley Heights to raise her family. It was during this time that she made many lifelong friends through her sons' sporting activities which she took great joy and pride in. The family later moved to Fort Garry where they joined the Wildwood Club spending many Friday nights enjoying family suppers at the club. After many wonderful years watching her children grow up, she was thrilled to welcome and spend as much time as possible with her five grandchildren. They truly were the light of her life and she loved them unconditionally. Nothing pleased her more than finding a great deal on the cutest outfits for the kids to wear. After retiring from a lengthy and satisfying career with MTS she enjoyed travelling to Desert Hot Springs with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 5 at the Caboto Centre at 1055 Wilkes Ave. from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Raphael Wellness Centre or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
