Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Verna, you lived a long life. We remember you at the Beausejour twice yearly old time dance at the Recreation Centre large hall. You were always dressed beautifully in designer gowns, well groomed, arriving with your arm linked in with Alex Katazinski, who was a family friend of my parents. Alex was a very tall and handsome man. The two of you always looked spectacular on the dance floor. Hoping you are both together in heaven, dancing with each other. My sincere condolences to both your families as losing you had to be devastating. - Posted by: Kathy Krawchuk Fecio (Dancing friends) on: Apr 01, 2022

  • I used to live across the street from Verna, and I told my daughters Becky Baker, Tara Tetrault, and Jessica Brandstrom (who are all now in their 40s) that 'Heaven just got a little more fun.' I'd say Rest in Peace Verna but, no matter what patch of Heaven you are in, you're laughing and smiling. - Posted by: Rick Ranson (Old neighbor) on: Mar 17, 2022

  • My condolences to both Diane and Gordon and families. Verna was a wonderful person who lit up any room she entered! ☀️ She enjoyed fashion, and had amassed a large wardrobe of beautiful clothing, cosmetics and jewelry. She always took pride in her appearance. She was a healthy, happy lady who enjoyed attending outings and 'dos' with my Father, Alex. She loved to cook, bake, sew; and was an exceptional hostess! She always tried to make everyone happy.... Later on in life, Verna and my Father would enjoy sharing a good meal, and then would enjoy some gambling at Club Regent or South Beach. I will never forget her kindness towards me; she was an exceptional Lady, and I will miss her so much! She also had relied on her strong Roman Catholic faith, and enjoyed going to Church. Thank you, dear Verna, for being a positive influence in my life! Respectfully, Gary and Charlene Gardiner (Katazinski). Beausejour, Mb. - Posted by: Charlene Gardiner (Katazinski). • Gord and Diane, sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. We knew her from growing up and being at your place down the street on Horton. Cathie Block and Debbie McLeod (friends) - Posted by: cathie block (Cathie Block and Debbie McLeod (friends)) on: Mar 05, 2022
