ILDA PEREIRA TOME DELGADO

After a lengthy battle with dementia, Ilda passed away suddenly at home, on Friday, March 4, 2022 with her husband and daughter by her side.
She was born on July 8, 1934 in Amieira, Urqueira, Ourem, Portugal.
She married the love of her life, Virgilio in April 5, 1959 and they immigrated to Canada in June, 1960.
Ilda worked hard and raised her three children in Gilliam and Winnipeg. She loved sweets, gardening, mall shopping for clothes, watching Day of Our Lives and daily chatting with her sisters-in-law and her friends.
Her husband and children were everything to her and her world revolved around her family.
Ilda is predeceased by her parents, siblings, Manuel, Americo, Lurdes and Anibal.
She is survived by her husband Virgilio; children, Elizabeth, George and Robin.
The family expresses their thanks to the Home Care Workers who helped them greatly.
Mom, you will be greatly missed and we love you infinitely.
During her battle with dementia she was always 'wanting to go home'.

Mom, you are finally home.
Rest in Peace.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday March 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Burial will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
