KRISTJANA SIGURBORG (MARILYN)
EIRICKSON

February 10, 1935 – February 28, 2022

Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Kristjana Sigurborg (Marilyn) Eirickson, of Lundar, MB passed away on February 28, 2022 at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home, at the age of 87.
She will be sadly missed by her six girls, Darlene (Donald), Lenore, Fran, Joanne (Bobe), Arlene (Harold), Lana (Cory) as well as 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank; her parents, Fusi and Lauga and her brother Melvin Hurdal.
Mom was born February 10, 1935 in Lundar and lived here all her life. She met the love of her life, Frank, and they were married on April 2, 1955. Mom and Dad farmed while raising their six girls west of Lundar. The farm was our home, always welcoming to neighbours, friends and family and many a beverage was enjoyed! After Dad passed in 1984, Mom started her career in Home Care, later moving to town.
Mom enjoyed many visits from her girls, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends, always playing cards, board games and attending every school and sporting event she could. But don't ever invite her out when the Jets were playing, Byfuglien took precedence! She had a special place in her heart for all her sons-in-law and was always quick to take their side! The coffee was always on, baking was always on the table or just coming out of the oven and nobody left hungry!
She teased us girls with her favourite saying "Grandchildren welcome, Parents by appointment"!
She had an active social life with the Birthday Club, New Horizons, Bingo and the Icelandic League. She was an avid volunteer and never hesitated to help anyone out when asked. Many times, she would say "Many Hands Make Light Work". She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Mom loved to travel and she was able to live out one of her dreams by going to Iceland in 2013 with her daughters, Lana and Lenore.
In our sadness, we are comforted to know that she is now reunited with our Dad.
