JOAN ELEANOR SARAILLON
(nee LARSEN)
Suddenly on March 9, 2022, at age 86, Joan Eleanor Saraillon passed away.
Joan was born June 22, 1935 in Winnipeg and was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Elsie Larsen and her husband of 43 years, Gerald Saraillon.
Joan grew up in Winnipeg, worked at Great-West Life and Beacon Hill Lodge, while raising her family. She lived the past 60 years in the house her late husband built in Charleswood.
Mom will be greatly missed by her children, Neil (Wendy) Saraillon, Donna (Jeff) Provost, Carol (Jeff) Scott. Grandma will also be missed by her grandchildren, Zachary and Jamie, Jordan, Bradyn and Carson and Ashlyn and Larissa. She is also survived by sisters, Mary (Ivan) Jensen and Diane (Bruce) Freeman.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, most proud of her children and grandchildren. She lived for the summer, having a warm beer with friends and family on the deck and her favourite getaway was going to Grand Forks with family.
According to mom's wishes, a private family gathering will take place at a later date.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the Winnipeg Emergency Services, the staff at HSC ER, her Home Care staff and her good friend and neighbour Gary.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Manitoba Lung Association.

Donna, Jeff, “the boys” and extended family. So terribly sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. Having both gone through this we know that no words can make you feel any better while you each go through this in your own way.
