EDGAR (ED) DRUWE
September 3, 1952 - February 27, 2022

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to an old friend.
Born and raised in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Ed was Glen Bergeron's longtime friend from the time that they were five years old, a friendship that thrived for 64 years. When his parents moved to BC, Ed adopted us as his Manitoba family for which we are eternally grateful. He moved to White Rock, BC in 2010 to be with his aging parents, John and Louise, who predeceased him.
He leaves to mourn two families very close to his heart, Glen and Val Bergeron (Erin and Bryan) and Art and Ardelle Martin (Kimberly, Tyler, Trevor and Brenlee) of Winnipeg.

A celebration of his life will be held at
The Good Shepherd Church, Surrey, BC, Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. PST. The funeral can be viewed live virtually at: https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/49174

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Reading about Ed’s passing just made me so sad. We went to elementary school together in St. Boniface. When I read this I couldn’t help think of those wonderful carefree days we had as kids. May you Rest In Peace Edward. - Posted by: Susan Dolinski (School friend ) on: Mar 12, 2022

  • It is with sadness that I learn of cousin Ed's passing. Although younger than I my family and I were close to uncle John and aunt Louise and chatted on occasion with Ed. We visited them at their cottage at Caddy Lake. They left for BC in the early 1990's and were kept up to date on them by Ed's letters. All my sympathies to the families. - Posted by: Georges Druwe (First cousin) on: Mar 12, 2022

  • We were good Friends of the Drewes dating back to our cottage days at Caddy Lake in the Whiteshell. Johnny worked at Burns Foods with my dad and was always jovial and very helpful, particularly with electrical projects. Lou kept a spotless cabin and always had a smile. They renewed relationships with our mobile family out in Vancouver. Eddy was closest in age to my sister Carol and they were good friends back in the 60's. We are very sad to hear of Eddy's passing. - Posted by: Rick Wishart (Childhood friend) on: Mar 12, 2022
