JOHN SHORE
May 27, 1952 – March 5, 2022

With great sadness we tell you of the passing of our dear husband and father John Shore.
He was born on May 27, 1952 to Richard and Gertrude Shore. He passed away suddenly on March 5, 2022. He lived his whole life in the Friedensfeld area, except for three months living in Brampton, ON and longing to return to Friedensfeld.
He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Gertrude Shore. He is survived by his beloved wife Sandra, his sons Scottie and Jason, and his siblings Gerry (Betty), Leon (Denise), Elsie (Heinz) Reimer, Vicky (Jack) Tate, Stephen (Jeanne), and Julie (Kevin) Friesen and numerous nieces and nephews.
He loved his brothers and sisters and often bragged about them all living within 15 miles of each other. The brothers went out regularly for breakfast to chat about anything and everything. He loved family gatherings and seeing the nieces and nephews having so much fun. When it was his turn to host a family gathering, there was usually a hayride involved.
Recently, heart issues slowed him down dramatically. He was improving so much in the last two weeks that we all thought he could beat this. But it was not to be. John was outside, in the sunshine clearing snow with his skid steer. He waved goodbye to me as I left for a walk, talked with friends that dropped in, and continued his project... and then his heart stopped forever.
Many knew John as The Diesel Doctor, the guy that could repair anything and fabricate your heart's desire. He really missed that challenge. Always, he was a people person and interested in what another person found important, but if he thought you were way out to lunch, he would give you an opinion that you sometimes didn't want to hear.
John was my best friend for 50 years. We had so much fun together, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. John will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
