JANET JOYCE (MALOWANY) REDDEN
It is with deep sadness on February 18, 2022 that we announce the passing of a dear daughter, sister, auntie and also a wife, mother and grandmother.
Janet was a very motivated person. She had chosen many careers in office, retail, restaurant service and also worked in a nursing home. She had a flair for fashion and loved dressing up for just going out and special occasions. She found enjoyment in antiques, decorating, cooking, baking, going to small towns, music (concert) and sporting events. Janet was always planning something, whether it was for birthdays, weddings, special dinners or holidays such as Halloween and Christmas. She loved the outdoors, family barbeques and being around her grandchildren. She was born June 4, 1958 at Selkirk General Hospital. She grew up on a farm in Libau, MB. As a child she enjoyed being around and feeding the farm animals, crafting, sewing, baking and working as a teenager at a diner. She went to Libau School, Happy Thought School, Robert Smith Junior High and Lord Selkirk Comprehensive High School in Selkirk, MB studying General Studies graduating with honours and had a interest in Sociology and Psychology (1974 to 1976) continuing her education at the University of Manitoba living there at residence. Janet then decided she wanted a career in retail at Ricki's, moved herself up the ladder and decided to take a job promotion and transfer to Calgary, AB (1981 to 1982) where she met Dave. She got married (1985) and started a family with him, later moving to Windsor, NS (Dave's home town). During the years, she made many friends throughout her lifetime, which she held dear to her.
She leaves behind her loving mother Phyllis, brother Doug (Selkirk, MB), sisters, Susan (Kenny) Peterson (Winnipeg, MB), Judy and Michael (nephew) Maria (Selkirk, MB), Sharon (Doug C.) Malowany (Winnipeg, MB). Her family in Windsor, NS: her loving husband David (Dave), daughter Gayle (Darren), sons, Bradley, Andrew (Trish), Mitchell and three grandchildren, Graedon, Paisley and Rory. She was predeceased by her grandparents John and Victoria Malowany, Mike and Anne Roskivich, father Michael (Mike), nephew Brian, niece Amanda and sister-in-law Joan. Janet's birthday June 4 sign is Gemini (Twins) intelligent, successful, energetic, strength, creative and sociable (talkative).
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 4, 2022 to honour Janet's life and birthday, which she shared with her mother, as they had a very special mother daughter bond. A private family get together is planned.
You will always be in our hearts forever.
