Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • Sincere condolences to the family during this difficult period. I knew George while at the P.S.B. and was a valuable member of the unit. His dedication to Northwood community club is legendary, his involvement in our Ringette circles within Northwood is practically second to none. A well respected gentleman that will certainly be missed. Deepest sympathies . - Posted by: Lee McDonald ( work colleague ) on: Mar 28, 2022

  • So very sorry Darlene, for you & your children and grandchildren for the passing of George. We go back many years, late 60s, I remember when you & George had your first date! We all attended many socials, weddings, and house parties back then! George was always a friendly, happy, outgoing guy! He was obviously a very valuable member of his community from reading his tribute. He did such great heartfelt work for his family & community! His memory will live on! My sincere condolences. • We have lost a truly wonderful man. George always welcomed you even if he didn't know you, thats how I met George. He was always there for the kids and the most friendliest man I knew. George liked to share his stories about the old and new Northwood C.C.. People come into your life for a reason, a season. If you were lucky enough to meet George you had a friend for life and he will be remembered and missed. - Posted by: lucille wilson (friend) on: Mar 19, 2022

  • Our deepest condolences to your family. Mr. Vanderlip coached a group of us in Ringette for years at Northwood Community Club. He was a dedicated coach. Always looking out for our best interest. He treated us with respect and kindness at all times. He lead our team to the Provincial Championship in the 1998/99 season and we won! He had more faith in us than we had in ourselves. I appreciate everything he did for us over the years. He was happy to see us return year after year and did everything he could to make sure we played. Thank you for everything Mr. Vanderlip you will never be forgotten. Amber Smith - Posted by: Amber Smith (Ringette player) on: Mar 19, 2022
