MARIE WATSON
With heavy hearts, our family announces the passing of Marie Watson on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Vista Park Lodge.
Marie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bill, her daughter Stacey (Scott), her son Brett (Tammy), her sisters-in-law, Louise (Mike), Bernice (Aubrey), and her cousins, Jasmin (Gerry) and Chuck (Nancy). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Brittney, Delainey, Nicholas, Serenity, Devona, Paige, and her many nieces and nephews.
Marie was born and raised in Trinidad before moving to Winnipeg in 1969, where she later met and married her husband Bill. Marie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. Marie worried about them, rooted for them, and always believed in them. She loved to take care of her family. She was a great cook and enjoyed having her family over for dinner. Always stylish, Marie was never one to miss an opportunity to get together with friends. She always enjoyed getting out and having fun, from New Year's Eve parties, Super Bowl/Grey Cup parties to lunches with the ladies. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew her.
On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of St. Timothy, 135 John Forsyth Road, funeral services will be held, and a reception will follow.
We would like to gratefully acknowledge and thank all the Rehabilitation and Geriatric Program staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and the team at Vista Park Lodge for their excellent support and care. Flowers are gratefully declined.
