THOMAS GERALD PAUL
May 21, 1954 - March 19, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Thomas Gerald Paul on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.
Thomas passed away at the age of 67 years with his daughter Nicole, and sisters, Alma, Annette, and Shirley by his side. Thomas leaves to mourn his passing his children, Thomas, Nicole (Tony), and Andrew, all residing in Winnipeg; his sister Alma Juenke of Winnipeg, Annette Paul of Winnipeg, and Shirley Wilkinson of Portage La Prairie; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Thomas was predeceased by his mother and father, James and Emily Paul; his sister Alice Palmer, and another sister Patricia Paul (Bea).
Dad did many things in his life, but his passion was music. In his younger years he was a member in a band called "The Quarter Bar". He had a wonderful voice filled with inspiration to all who had the pleasure to hear him sing. He could strum the strings off any guitar in his possession! He also played the violin. A talent instilled by his own father.
An interment will be held at a future date for family and close friends.
A special thank you to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for taking such great care of Dad in his final hours.
If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
"Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I'm weak, I am worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand, precious Lord
lead me home."
-Merle Haggard
He will be missed by many,
but never forgotten.
