• We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Hal Perkins. We worked with Hal in track and field for many years. He was a great official, always quick to smile and laugh, and provide a joke here or there to make the days go a little faster. We had some pretty great Grey Cup parties in his basement too! We didn't get together very often, but when we did we had a wonderful time! • Hal was always one of my favourite starters. His dedication to the sport of track and field was amazing. He was also a devoted football official as well. Hal we may not have talked or seen each other in the past few years, but you will always hold a special place in my memory heart. I think of you often and offer my condolences to your family. • Just wanted to pass on our condolences to the family. I grew up in Fort Garry with Hal and the Perkins family. Went to school with Hal and played hockey with Hal with the Fort Garry Blues hockey team. When we graduated from VMC we had talked about going to travel Europe but had to make some money first. After enjoying making money we never made the trip. We had several parties at the Perkins home. Also coached Georgina in baseball. Hal was also a proud Navy Cadet for several years.
