WILLIAM (BILL) JAMES RITCHOT
January 27, 1961 - March 17, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Ritchot, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. William (Bill) was comforted in his last moments by his lifelong best friend, Dan Jerry Halas, his brother Fred Ritchot and his sister Michelle Ritchot.
Bill enjoyed every moment of life to the fullest with a positive outlook as he handled his battle with cancer over the years. Bill had passion for travel, people, music, theatre, animals and nature. He was eager to continue his world travels. Bill lived in Montreal from 1980 to 2021 working in radiology at the Victoria General Hospital in Montreal.
Bill leaves behind his immediate family members: Fred Ritchot, Sharon Vegh, Michelle Ritchot and Stefphany Cholakis, and his dearest friend, Dan Jerry Halas. Also left to mourn are Wayne Taillieu; Bill's nieces, Tammy, Shelly and Jody Taillieu, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Frederick Ritchot and Edith Patricia Ritchot (Parke), his sister Lynda Taillieu, his grandparents, Charles Parke and Mona (Crump) and William (Big Bill) and Edith Ritchot (Russe), his brother-in-law John Vegh, sister-in-law Joyce Ritchot (Vaughan) and great-niece Destiny Taillieu.
Bill will be interred at Chapel Lawn in Winnipeg with his mother Edith Ritchot (Parke) and grandparents, Charles and Mona Parke. Family and friends will be invited in the coming months to attend a celebration of Bill's life.
