WAYNE DOUGLAS LAMBERT
February 7, 1947 - March 22, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Wayne passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on March 22.
Wayne will be dearly missed by his two sons, Brian and Bradley and his granddaughter Taylor. He was predeceased by his loving wife Barbara, mother Dulcie, and father Elmer.
Wayne's favourite pastimes included going to the cottage, and travelling to Barbados every winter. He had a passion for his classic cars and attended many car shows where he made lots of friends and was well known in that community.
The family would like to thank Maples Personal Care Home for all the care and compassion they have shown Wayne the past few years.
No service to be held at this time.
RIP Wayne, you will be deeply missed.

Our sincere condolences to Brad, Brian and family. We just heard about your dad yesterday, that he had passed away. Wayne and Barb were such good friends to us. We all loved the old cars, car shows and once a week dinners at various restaurants. They also invited us to join them in Vegas to the Barret Jackson as we had never gone before. We had a great time there with them, such a fun couple. They always asked us to join them on their next trip to Barbados and we also said we would. We were very sad when Barb passed away and shocked to hear that Wayne passed away too this year. We tried to get ahold of Wayne during covid and had no luck at his personal care home and had no phone numbers from his boys. If Brad could call us sometime, we would love to talk about Wayne to him please! May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Dennis & Marianne Fleming (Friends) on: Jul 01, 2022

Well Wayne, its been a long journey since we met when you lived on Elgin in the West End. The countless hours that we spent chasing ladies, racing cars and motorcycles down the Winnipeg streets. You found your true love, Barb and showered her with love since you met her at the Red Top on St. Mary's until she passed a few years ago. You two made an excellent couple and enjoy the great times you had together walking the beaches of Barbados, sipping a drink in the 'rum shacks' along the beach. We had great times together at the local car shows, as well as going to Back to the 50's car show in Minneapolis each year and looking and bidding on the cars up for auction. Our trip to Indianapolis to pick up the '59 Caddy was a grand-daddy experience and you rebuilt that car better than new, and I can attest to that. Over 40 years of towing cars gave you an advantAGE OF HAVING FIRST PICK on some of the best cars Winnipeg had to offer. You worked hard all your life, my friend and you earned your rest. Your with your soul mate, Barb now, rest easy. Thanks for being my friend for the last 65+ years. - Posted by: Edward Skilnick (life-long friend) on: Mar 30, 2022

Wayne was always happy and smiling when we visited. He was a great neighbor and was an adoring husband to Barb. They are now together again. Rest easy my friend. - Posted by: Jackie and Wayne Chambers (Neighbor/Friend) on: Mar 26, 2022
