DONALD ROBERT MACLENNAN
February 18, 1931 - March 15, 2022
Dad passed peacefully away at 91 years of age at the Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home (PCH) in Winnipeg.
He was predeceased by his wife Ronelda; parents, Angus and Victoria; brother Alex (Pearl); sisters, Leila, Helen (Ralph) and Ann (Bill); father/mother-in-law Ralph and Olga; brother-in-law Elmer (Fran); sister-in-law Elma (Hector) and nephews, Donald and Kerry.
He is survived by his children, Don (Judy), Lori (Walt), and Cheryl (Dennis); daughter-in-law Charlotte; grandchildren, Aaron (Nicole), Carly (Steve), Caitlin (Michael), Mitchell (Claire), Taylor (Sam) and Hailey; great-grandchildren, Cairo, Bode, Ford, Kaia and Harvey; brother Lorne (Dorothy) and sister-in-law Rita (Gus) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad was born in Port Arthur, ON. After high school he was hired by the CIBC and, after a short stint in Saskatchewan, he was transferred to Ashern, MB where he met his wife Ronelda. They married in August 1955 and shortly after moved to Thunder Bay, ON. In 1972 he was transferred to Winnipeg and retired there working out of the CIBC Head Office as a Regional Inspector in 1996.
Dad was deeply proud of his children but especially beamed with happiness when he could spend time with his grandchildren. Dad's most pleasant memories were his time spent both as a child and later with his children and friends at the family 'camp' at Trout Lake. He was a passionate hockey fan and was glued to the TV during the NHL season! He will be remembered for his dry, sarcastic sense of humour!
We were truly blessed to have such a caring and giving father and grandfather!
We would like to thank the staff at the Meadowood Manor PCH for all the love and care they gave our father during his last years.
A private family graveside memorial service will be held in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Ashern, MB on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Following the interment of both dad and mom, a luncheon will take place at the Ashern Legion Hall where everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate the lives of both Don and Ronelda MacLennan. Time of the luncheon to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.

Our deepest sympathy to all Don's family. We were friends for many years in Mesa, AZ and in Ashern. Ronelda, Don, and us, others all hung out together. Went to visit mom 2x in the home too. Hugs and prayers to all your family. At least they are together again. - Posted by: jim & chris carlson (friends) on: Mar 29, 2022

I first got to know Don when we both worked in CIBC's Regional Inspection Dept. I remember him for his positive attitude, good humour and his willingness to share his knowledge when I was new to the Dept.
