ISABELLA MARGARET HAUGEN
( nee POLLON)

March 20, 1924 – March 19, 2022

After a brief illness, Mom passed away to go home to the Lord hours before her 98th birthday.
She leaves to mourn her passing; Don, Corinne (Jack) Hamilton, Ken (Colleen), Carol (Darrell) Barber, and Cynthia (Barry) Horan, grandchildren; Jackie (Charles), Joe, Jeff, Janina, James, Caitlin (Tanar), Brittaney, Trevor, Stephanie, and Jason, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Cora and Albert Pollon, husband Elvert (2014), seven brothers and four sisters.
Mom was born near Arran, SK and grew up in Pelly, SK. She took her teacher training in Regina and began her career teaching in a one room schoolhouse. She married Dad (Elvert Haugen) in 1947. Dad was in the RCAF and they were stationed in numerous places across Canada, and also in England. Mom resumed teaching in 1966 and taught in Winnipeg at Allard Elementary School until her retirement.
Mom and Dad retired in Winnipeg and spent time in both Winnipeg and Pelly. She was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother. She leaves an incredible void in the lives of her family.
We would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital for the wonderful care that they provided.
A private family service will be held, with interment beside her beloved Elvert in Glen Lawn Cemetery.
