DANIEL BOONE SR.
1944 - 2022
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear husband, father, papa and friend, Daniel Boone Sr., who passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Daniel will be forever remembered by his beloved wife, Mary-Ann; his children, Daniel (Alanna), Lisa (Joe), Glen (Jennifer), and Cheryl (Robin); and his cherished grandchildren, Garret, Kara and Jared; Josh, Hannah and Theo; Matt, Emma and Chloe. He is survived by his sister Lorraine; brother Joseph (Lynda); and brother-in-law Frank; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Godelieve.
Daniel's work life started on his parents' dairy farm in St. Vital but his knack for math led him to a long, distinguished accounting career with James Richardson & Sons. Daniel's life was happily filled with the simple things and his best friend and wife by his side. Having all the children and grandchildren over for a get together of good food, a cup of cheer and great fun were some of his favourite moments. He especially enjoyed playing cards, Belgian bowling and 10-pin bowling. He took pride in his garden and generously shared his perfect tomatoes, potatoes and cucumbers. Daniel and Mary-Ann took many trips to Minnesota and made many lifelong friendships there. People were drawn to his amazing kindness, integrity and infectious laugh. He was loved by everyone he met and will be sincerely missed.
Per Daniel's wishes, there will not be a funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.

So truly sorry for your loss. Worked with Dan in the 80’s. He was an amazing man with so much patience, kindness and a great sense of humour. He deserved a medal of honour for putting up with our 20+ year old crew but we kept him entertained with our drama and social events. Dan always stopped to help when asked and somehow he always had the answer. His kids were still small but it was obvious that his family meant the world to him. I offer my deepest condolences to you all. There is another Angel in Heaven.. - Posted by: Mona Lacroix (Franzmann) (Colleague at Richardson’s) on: Mar 30, 2022

My sincere condolences to Mary-Ann and Mr. Boone's family. I had the very pleasure of working with him many moons ago and had the second pleasure of being neighbors with great friends Mitch & Yvette where I got a few visits in and even a couple bowls with him. May the memories of Daniel last in your hearts forever. - Posted by: Calista (Friend) on: Mar 30, 2022

Sending my deepest condolences to Lisa, Daniel and family on the loss of your dad. I have known him since I was five years old when Lisa and I met in Kindergarten and even though it has been a few years since seeing him, I will never ever forget his giant smile and infectious laugh. He was the kindest, most gentle man. Rest in peace, Mr Boone. - Posted by: Tanis Paul (Family Friend) on: Mar 30, 2022
