  • My deepest condolences to Edith and the family. David my friend your kind deportment and gentle soul will be with me forever. One of the last times I seen you and chatted was at a Moose Game when you were working down at ice level. I will miss you at the morning gatherings in St Vital my friend. With my love in the "Sunlight of the Spirit". - Posted by: John Johnson (Friend ) on: Apr 04, 2022

  • I was shocked and saddened to hear of David's passing. I am pretty sure the first time I met David was in Grade 2 at Windsor School. I have an image of first seeing him in class - a "new kid", who had moved into the neighborhood - right down the street from me on Elm Park Road it turned out. We became close friends, participated at the St. Vital YMCA, played sports, especially basketball and football together. We lost touch over the years as I went off to Toronto and then BC. I think the last time we spoke was about 30 years ago when he attended my mother's funeral. I very much appreciated him showing up then. My condolences to the family, including all his "little brothers." - Posted by: David Hargrave (Friend) on: Apr 04, 2022

  • Such a shock to hear of Dave's passing. He has been a friend of our family for as long as he & Edith have been together. He was a kind, gentle person. Always had a big smile & hug whenever I saw him. Spent a few holidays with him & Edith, and will cherish the memories of all the great, fun times we had. When Dave asked how you were he was genuinely interested in your answer. Love you & will miss you. - Posted by: Judy McNair (Friend) on: Apr 03, 2022

  • We were saddened to hear of Dave's passing, a long time friend. We have many happy memories of time spent at the cabin in Windermere, the Whitehouse, baseball games, the Ranchmens Raiders - too many to mention but we cherish them all. Dave was a friend that we might lose track of for a time but would pick up right where you left off as if no time had passed. We were fortunate to have him as a a friend. Our love and sincere condolences to Edith and the family. Janice and Lou Charman - Posted by: Janice and Lou Charman (Friend) on: Apr 03, 2022

  • So sorry to hear about Dave's passing. I have many fond memories of times spent together in our teens and the great times at the St. Vital YMCA. Dave and I ended up doing similar work later in our lives. I am grateful for having had him as a friend even though we had not communicated for many years I thought of him often. Wonderful man! • Edith and Family - we are so saddened to hear of David's passing. John and I both worked with David at MTS/CLC and always loved talking to him. There was not a time that I (Sonia) did not get a hug from David - it always made me smile. I went back to my pictures and fondly remember our dinner in Guayabitos - we had so much fun! Our most heartfelt condolences to you and all the family. Love, Sonia and John - Posted by: Sonia and John Feakes (Friend / Co-Workers) on: Apr 02, 2022
