BOGDAN PETROVYCH YURASHCHUK
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bogdan Petrovych Yurashchuk in Winnipeg at Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 68.
He will be missed by his former spouse Svilana, his son Slava and daughter-in-law Kimberly, son Petro and grandchildren, Maxim and Ryan.
Born in Vyshkove, Ukraine, Bogdan left a legacy as a prominent Neurosurgeon. Working from Berehovo Central Hospital he tirelessly dedicated himself to the care of his patients. Wherever he went he would encounter eternally grateful people that have survived due to his hard work behind the operating table.
Bogdan brought his family to Canada in 1994 seeking a better life for his children. Sacrificing his own professional ambitions in order to settle in Canada, he nevertheless continued his mission of serving the public by becoming a Physician in the Northern Territories, where he enjoyed the inspiring nature of the Canadian North until his retirement.
We would like to thank everyone that has reached out with condolences.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, April 9, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
