CORINNE BARI CHAMPAGNE
(DOLLY)
December 24, 1953 - April 1, 2022
Words just can't express the depth of sorrow we feel at the loss of our Dolly.
Cherished wife, companion and best friend to Randy McCaig for 40 wonderful years.
Not nearly long enough.
Also mourning the loss of Dolly is her mother Alice Champagne (nee Yorke), sister Pauline (Clive), brother Paul and nieces, Madi (Mark), Haley; sisters-in-law, Valerie (Bobby), Karen (Mike), Sherry and niece Charlene.
Dolly's most sorrowful moment in life was being predeceased by her daughter Stacy. Forever 12 in years. But imagined in our hearts and minds as a young woman with children of her own. It was a regret in Dolly's life that she was never able to be a grandmother. Dolly was also predeceased by her father Paul Champagne, brother Eric, father and mother-in-law Cec and Eleanor McCaig, brother-in-law Brian.
Dolly met Randy at work while employed with Datamark Systems, a job she enjoyed for many years. In her later years of employment Dolly was a health care aide and she had the pleasure of being able to spend time with and provide care to her beloved Nana Francis Yorke before her retirement from Golden West Centennial Lodge.
Thank you to Dr. Paul at CancerCare and Riverview Health Centre 3E palliative staff for the compassionate care you provided to Dolly.
There has been a private family viewing and cremation has taken place.
We would like to extend an invitation to all family, friends and co-workers to join us in a celebration of Dolly's life when we will be able to gather at Dolly and Stacy's final place of rest on June 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. For those who wish to attend the service, please R.S.V.P. to Chapel Lawn between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and please follow any recommendation regarding Covid requirements.
Dolly would love it if you wore colourful clothes and your funkiest foot-ware. And yes, hawaiian shirts are welcome.
